What does the Week 3 injury report look like?

Sunday of Week 3, and the injury report is doing its usual thing: 14 Questionable tags on players that matter, 11 already ruled Out. Here's who to check first, and who actually played the last time each one sat, so you're not guessing at 12:55.

We list every QB, RB, WR and TE rostered in at least 20% of leagues or averaging 50%+ of his team's snaps whose status isn't Healthy, from the GridIron API's /players data. ATL and GB already played Week 3, so their players are left out. The "who played" column comes from Week 2 snap share: if the player sat that week, it names the teammate whose share jumped; otherwise the teammate next in line by snaps.

Who gets the snaps?

  • Puka Nacua (WR, LAR) is Doubtful. The last time he was out, Konata Mumpfield took the job, 26% to 69% of snaps in Week 2.
  • Out for Nico Collins, rostered in 100% of leagues. When he sat in Week 2, Jaylin Noel went from 30% to 60% of snaps: that's your pivot.
  • Jayden Daniels (QB, WAS) is Out. Plan without him and replace him with a player who has a role, not a name.
  • Caleb Williams (QB, CHI) is Out. Set your lineup around him now; there's no status to wait on.
  • Dallas Goedert (TE, PHI) is Out. His snaps go looking for a home; Johnny Mundt played 64% of them in Week 2.

Who is on a reserve list?

These players are on IR or another reserve list and can't play this week: A.J. Brown (NE, IR), Jonathon Brooks (CAR, IR), Alec Pierce (IND, IR), Jordan Mason (MIN, IR), Zach Charbonnet (SEA, PUP-R), Jaxson Dart (NYG, IR), De'Zhaun Stribling (SF, IR), Tank Dell (HOU, IR-R), Isiah Pacheco (DET, IR). If you're still starting one of them out of habit, that's the easiest fix you'll make all day.

What changed on the injury report this week?

No status flips on fantasy-relevant players were recorded in the Pro feed between Sunday, September 20 at 9:21 pm ET and Saturday, September 26 at 9:21 pm ET. The change detector's history starts on September 26, 2026, so this is its first window. Quiet weeks happen; the Sunday runs are where the flips cluster.

When do Sunday inactives land in the data?

Teams announce inactives about 90 minutes before kickoff, and our injury data refreshes right after each wave. This page is the morning picture; the statuses above can change at each run.

Pro: /injuries/changes returns just the players whose status flipped, about 10 minutes after each run. See the game-day injury guide for a poller that alerts on your roster.

How can I check my own roster's statuses?

One call per player on the free plan. Run it after each Sunday refresh and you'll see the same statuses this page shows:

import requests

API = "https://api.gridirondata.com/api/v1"
H = {"x-api-key": "YOUR_KEY"}
MY_TEAM = {"Puka Nacua#WR", "Jaylen Warren#RB", "Brock Bowers#TE"}

for pid in MY_TEAM:
    p = requests.get(f"{API}/players/{requests.utils.quote(pid)}", headers=H).json()
    status = p.get("seasons", {}).get("2026", {}).get("injury_status") or "Healthy"
    print(f"{pid:28} {status}")

Three players is three requests, so checking a full 15-man roster after all three Sunday runs is 45, well inside the free plan's 100 a day.

Frequently asked questions

When are NFL inactives announced?

About 90 minutes before each kickoff. On Sundays our injury data refreshes at 12:45, 3:50 and 7:45 pm ET, after each wave, and status changes land in the Pro feed about 10 minutes later.

Is this page updated during the games?

No. It shows the injury report as of Saturday, September 26 at 5:37 pm ET. For the flips after that, re-pull /players after each refresh, or poll /injuries/changes with a Pro key.

What does Questionable mean for my lineup?

That the team hasn't ruled him in or out. Wait for the inactives run for his game, and keep a same-position backup who plays later in the day so a late scratch doesn't cost you a zero.

Why are some injured players missing from this list?

We list players rostered in at least 20% of leagues or averaging 50%+ of snaps, and we leave out teams that already played this week (ATL and GB).
