What does the Week 4 injury report look like?

Week 4's Sunday slate starts with 4 fantasy-relevant Questionable tags and 9 players already Out. The snap data tells you who absorbs the work when a starter sits, so this is less a panic list and more a pivot plan.

We list every QB, RB, WR and TE rostered in at least 20% of leagues or averaging 50%+ of his team's snaps whose status isn't Healthy, from the GridIron API's /players data. CLE and PIT already played Week 4, so their players are left out. The "who played" column comes from Week 3 snap share: if the player sat that week, it names the teammate whose share jumped; otherwise the teammate next in line by snaps.

What it means for your lineup

  • Zay Flowers (WR, BAL) is Questionable, 98% rostered, on a 31% season snap share. If he sits, look at Devontez Walker, who played 27% of snaps in Week 3.
  • Ladd McConkey (WR, LAC) is Questionable, 97% rostered, on a 61% season snap share. If he sits, look at Tre' Harris, who played 58% of snaps in Week 3.
  • Mike Evans carries the week's most-rostered question mark at 88% rostered. He's played 54% of snaps this season, so his inactive call moves real lineups. Next in line by Week 3 snaps: Jordan Watkins at 28%.
  • Settle Jalen Coker (CAR) before his kickoff: Questionable, 65% of snaps when he plays. Next in line by Week 3 snaps: John Metchie III at 56%.

  • Justin Jefferson (WR, MIN) is Out. Plan without him and replace him with a player who has a role, not a name.

These players are on IR or another reserve list and can't play this week: De'Von Achane (MIA, IR), A.J. Brown (NE, IR), Travis Etienne Jr. (NO, IR), Andrei Iosivas (CIN, IR), Josh Oliver (MIN, IR). If you're still starting one of them out of habit, that's the easiest fix you'll make all day.

176 status changes were recorded between Monday, September 28 at 9:06 am ET and Sunday, October 4 at 9:06 am ET. These are the flips the Pro feed returned; each one is a lineup decision someone had to make.

When do Sunday inactives land in the data?

Teams announce inactives about 90 minutes before kickoff, and our injury data refreshes right after each wave. This page is the morning picture; the statuses above can change at each run.

Pro: /injuries/changes returns just the players whose status flipped, about 10 minutes after each run. See the game-day injury guide for a poller that alerts on your roster.

How can I check my own roster's statuses?

One call per player on the free plan. Run it after each Sunday refresh and you'll see the same statuses this page shows:

import requests

API = "https://api.gridirondata.com/api/v1"
H = {"x-api-key": "YOUR_KEY"}
MY_TEAM = {"Puka Nacua#WR", "Jaylen Warren#RB", "Brock Bowers#TE"}

for pid in MY_TEAM:
    p = requests.get(f"{API}/players/{requests.utils.quote(pid)}", headers=H).json()
    status = p.get("seasons", {}).get("2026", {}).get("injury_status") or "Healthy"
    print(f"{pid:28} {status}")

Three players is three requests. Checking a full 15-man roster after all three Sunday runs is 45, nearly all of the free plan's 50 a month, so try it on the free plan and move to Basic (5,000 a month) to run it every week.

Frequently asked questions

When are NFL inactives announced?

About 90 minutes before each kickoff. On Sundays our injury data refreshes at 12:45, 3:50 and 7:45 pm ET, after each wave, and status changes land in the Pro feed about 10 minutes later.

Is this page updated during the games?

No. It shows the injury report as of Saturday, October 3 at 11:12 am ET. For the flips after that, re-pull /players after each refresh, or poll /injuries/changes with a Pro key.

What does Questionable mean for my lineup?

That the team hasn't ruled him in or out. Wait for the inactives run for his game, and keep a same-position backup who plays later in the day so a late scratch doesn't cost you a zero.

Why are some injured players missing from this list?

We list players rostered in at least 20% of leagues or averaging 50%+ of snaps, and we leave out teams that already played this week (CLE and PIT).
